Internships

National Museum is happy to accept interns from universities and colleges. To apply for an internship, it must be included as a compulsory part of an ongoing education and the application must be sent no later than three months before the desired internship period.

Your application must contain a CV, a description of the program of education and completed courses, the desired internship period, and a personal letter stating why you have applied to the Nationalmuseum and what you expect from the internship. Our ability to take on trainees can vary and may sometimes be limited by practical considerations.

The internship positions at all departments, except the department of Collections, are managed continuously throughout the year.

The Collection Unit and the Collection Management Unit accept students who attend Master’s programmes where an internship is mandatory. Interviews are held before the internship positions are filled.

For autumn 2025 and spring 2026, the following application dates apply:

• Internship, autumn 2025. Deadline for applications 2025-04-15.
• Internship, spring 2026. Deadline for applications 2025-10-15.
